"Terrible hospitality no parking at all they issue guest parking passes for $5 each day at the expense of residents parking availability. Paper thin walls, you actually hear the people in the other apartments. supposedly a gated community, the gate is always broken. Peoples cars broken into on a nightly basis. Did i mention that the people in the office are completely useless. The pool is tiny compared to the website photo, so is the gym. Flexible lease terms is a hoax! Every other place in the area is cheaper and safer. Do yourself a favor and shoot yourself in the foot before you even think of viewing or living in this community, I'm stuck here till May due to the flexible lease terms (sarcasm, only the latter part!)"(2010)

"I have lived at Cambridge Apartments in Hampton Virginia for three years and really enjoy it. It's amazes me how people tend to only report their negative thoughts but don't take the time to say positive ones. I call this home and for the most part am glad to. Sure there is a party here and there but when I lived in my own home my neighbors next to me did the same thing. That is life. The staff takes care of the issues and my maintenance problems are handled pretty quickly and no major issues. It's fairly quiet and a nice location. Just wanted to take the time to say so. "(2009)

FREDRICKSBURG, VIRGINIA

"The Belmont at Cowan Place apartments appeared nice from the outside. They were well maintained on the inside. The problem was with the maintenance staff and the Front Desk staff. I repeatedly submitted requests about a nonsustaining hot water heater. This was never addressed. I submitted requests for over 7 days about my oven that had ceased working. The reason they gave for not responding - "in over 3 years, we've never had an oven just break. it's always user error." When they finally looked at the oven, the electrical wires were completely fried and it was replaced in a matter of days - not with a new oven, but the oven from another apartment not in use. My one and only toilet ceased working after the pipes froze in the middle of winter. They had to shut off all my water to fix it. This took a full 11 hours to do. When they fixed the toilet, they forgot to turn the water back on. I had to shower at work before my shift that night. Overall - not worth the money or location. "(2009)

"the following is my opinion and thoughts. This place was cool when I first moved in a few years back. It has gone way down hill from then. Crazy rent increases. multiple management changes. parking sucks big time. My place was broken into and they are charging me for the damage done. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It seems that if you have been there a while they care less and less about you. way too many "periodic" inspections. If your one of those just leave me alone renters this is totally not the place for you. one of my neighbors just told me she got a $100 a month increase. with what is happening in today's economy that is wrong. spend some time looking you can find way better places for far less. even single family places can be rented for less not too far away. If your thinking about it... You have been warned."(2009)

VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA

"I admit the property at first glance seems pretty good but, after living there for a year things are not always what they appear to be. I moved into a one bedroom apartment in the complex. The first few nights there was ok but eventually the military aircrafts hoovered over the complex every night for 3 weeks. I was completely annoyed and couldnt even get a chance to dream of peace and quiet. After the first 3-4 mths of living there I had no internet services; therefore I had no cable service and couldnt hook up a router for wireless service either. So i was living in a world which revolved around the sounds of military aircrafts all night every night. I was told that the community was also going to have new windows installed..the ones I am yet to see in the building I was living at. They informed me that the building I was in wasn't structurally sounded. I was completely turned off by that, knowing that you have families living in a building thats not structurally sound?!? I couldnt believe they fix there face to tell me that!?!? So I had to continue to hold all the windows up with lotion bottles if I wanted fresh air to circulate which turned me off from ever considering any complex building being used to suck tenants dry! Soon after I was told that I had no internet because the wires were crossed with a family who moved out 3-4 mths prior me moving into my place. How bizzar..could someone say lack of organizational skills is quite obvious?!? When it wasn't the aircrafts the sirens from police cars cam through the neighborhood every weekend! NO JOKE!! The neighborhood gave such an impression of pleasant peaceful living that I felt that they were promoting false hopes for gullible people. When my lease was up I had enough of that place and moved out 3 weeks early. Of course there may be incurring charges. After doing my part of being the tenant without a single complaint about anything, I was told a ridiculous bill via telephone; which they was responsible to send via email informing me of the pending charges! I called to find out that the community director make it seem its my fault for not paying my bill which I was never informed of! So besides the lack or organizational skills there is no real communication the staff has with their tenants!! I was furious because the they allowed the charges to add up and sky rocket to a bill that's as much as the rent I was paying for! Which I now see has jumped to 90% than what I had to put up with. The maintenance staff OMG..one day I came home to a overflowing toilet! It was so bad that it leaked through the floor into the downstairs tenant apartment! They left a NOTE ON HER DOOR!!! How could you leave someone apartment in total disarray like that by putting a note saying nothing of significance because she still had an entire apartment filled with toilet water! I had a carpet soak apartment with toilet water! Had I known they were such cold hearted people like that I would have just moved out and call the health inspectors or someone able to tell them how to handle a situation like that! That was awful! The community is best in the day time but at night all hell break loose literally! I would not consider this complex for any family to raise there children especially with the huge jump in the rates its not worth the effort."(2009)

"I have lived at Park Place since it opened in 2004. I am shocked at the negative reviews given.I have lived in several different apartments around the world in my 65 years of life and Park Place is one of my favorites. I love my 2 bedroom apartment. I love being able to walk and shop around the City Center. Any maintenance problem that I've had has been been corrected promptly. The staff has always been professional and friendly."(2009)
