"Never ever come to this apartment.. the manager and the maintenance guy are sooo
rude ... they dont have any courtesy.. they treat their tenants like crap. they
try to make the tenants life miserable by constantly complaining.. u cant even
move or talk in these apartments.. if u do they start complaining...the manager
lives in the 2nd floor of the apartment.. and the walls are soo thin u can hear
everything very easily...so they dont miss a chance to come and knock on the
door and yell..they are nosy about everything.. specially the maintenance guy...
i will recommend never rent this place or any of catania apartments! "(2009)

Fullton Villas
"The experience at Fulton Villas is foul. It's no wonder
they've taken to advertising on Craigslist for potential tenants. First month
free with $400 down. And this is not just a sign of the economic times. Listen
to all the wonders the building is inclusive of:
Not only does it seem every year that the building gets a hand full of drug
dealers, but the current manager, Gilbert, makes excuses for them and tries to
reason and "rehab" their ways. He will not serve lease violators notices for
fear tenants will go after him or his car. In the meantime, bad tenants go
unpunished and management is forever coming into tenant apartments and violating
their privacy. Water is shut off many times per month. Code Enforcement is
coming here week after week in attempt to site them for all the work done by
unlicensed repair men on pipes that require city permits to be fixed. Faulty
pipes and hundreds of repairs not included on title to keep tenants from having
rent reduced by Los Angeles Housing Department. Seeing jack hammers rip through
concrete and first floor apartments is not an uncommon sight here. Tenants are
being charged for water and the building's not even submetered, which means one
tenant could run their facets for 10 days straight and all the neighbors and
other tenants will be picking up the tab. Vermin wandering around parking lot
and dumpsters at night. Manager has a homeless family that stays at the
building regularly, though not for 14 days consecutively. It's thoughtful, but
explains all the other vagrants who come and go like the johns from a prostitute
who has in-calls in her own apartment. Many amenities are non-working or broken
altogether. Tenants caught having sex on couches in the rec room. Tenants
punching each other in the courtyard, creating a potential hefty lawsuit against
the owner for the victim(s) who got/get punched. Many witnesses to these
beatings. Other tenants dealing drugs on the property. Some have even
vandalized other tenants' properties. And don't be fooled by the recent paint
job to make it look "pretty". In fact, that's the first reason to walk away ...
all the other buildings on the block look half-run down but not Fulton Villas.
It tries to appear sparkling and gleaming not because of civic pride, but
because the wat
But there are a couple of seemingly redeeming qualities ... the grass looks good
from a distance (unless you get up close and see the dog poop from neighboring
buildings' dogs) and the bushes and flowers are decent, which is more than it
can boast than the other ugly buildings in the neighborhood. As mentioned
earlier, that should be a red flag to potential tenants - which one is not like
the other - simply means lots and lots and lots of hidden problem. Keep moving
south to the Boulevard, folks. You wouldn't want your most hated 5th grade
enemy living here. Read the views and do your homework before renting on any
property."(2009)

El Paseo Studios
"I leased an
apartment at El Paseo Studios from 12-20-03 to 11-01-05. First of all, I
would like to say that it is a beautiful building. At that time, it was
brand new with modern amenities, and everything worked perfectly. The building
was energy efficient and made with environmentally friendly components. Their
was convenient shopping nearby.
On the other side, at 300 square feet, these studios are very small. But you get
what you paid for, and I considered these government subsidized units a fair
price considering their location in the “Silicon Valley.”
Unfortunately, the management staff did not behave in a professional manner and
was of an inferior quality. They repeatedly misplaced important documents that I
would submit to them per their request. They would then accuse me of never
submitting them, and I would have to resubmit them. I would even show them my
copies of the original document that was submitted to them. I would also receive
accusatory notices taped to my front door threatening me with eviction.
Management staff would make unfounded accusations against me, which put me in a
position where I would have to defend myself repeatedly. I was never late with
my lease payment. I followed all of the rules and regulations as they were
explained to me by management staff. I got along with the other tenants. This
created a stressful living environment.
Management staff also took a superior stance when speaking to me. They spoke to
me like I was either a criminal or mentally handicapped. It was clear that they
looked down on the tenants there, because the tenants were considered “low
income” persons.
Another issue is that there was apparently, some kind of clannish religious
group present who would meet in the apartment across the hall from my apartment.
Members of this group would often make snide and insulting remarks to me when we
passed in the hall, which I was successful at ignoring. This stemmed from a
conversation I had with two of them regarding presidential candidates, where I
politely disagreed with their opinion.
But by the time I realized the problems present at El Paseo Studios, it was too
late, because I had already moved in, had signed a contract for a specified
time, and did not have another place to go at that time. I was stuck there, at
least for a while, and management staff knew it. I was very glad to move out
when that time finally came.
Be sure you investigate this complex thoroughly before moving in. It’s probably
simpler to find room mates and share a house or apartment somewhere else.

BAR, CALIFORNIA
Lakeview Garden Apartments
"I have rented all my life and never had a problem until I came to this place. I
had multiple incidents with the management while living there and my rights were
violated when I moved out. And my guess is if you succumb to their $100 deposit
scheme, your rights will be violated too. Here is just some of the problems I
have experienced there.
1. THE MANAGEMENT IS EXTREMELY RUDE, period. They butter you up when you are a
potential customer, but after you sign the dotted line, that's it.
2. Frequent power outages. These are claimed to be a result of the wild
raccoons that fest the area. The raccoons will block walkways and are not
scared of humans. At one time I couldn't get my power restored for over 12
hours. Unfortunately I had just gone grocery shopping. No care was given as to
whether my food could of gone bad or not.
3. Random walk throughs are done within less then 24 hour notice. They offer
multiple excuses for their reasoning, none of which seem very valid
4. Laundry facilities are not coin operated. You get a card and money is
deposited onto the card (no refund). Halfway through living their, they decided
to change the system, giving everybody new cards (old cards no longer worked).
Whatever was on your old card was not reimbursed. The new dryers did not dry no
matter how many times you ran it.
5. Parking sucks. You are only given one spot and you will most likely have to
park far away if you plan on parking any where else besides that spot. One time
they decided to repave the parking lot. They did it all at one time so there
was no parking for 2 days. There is no convenient street parking. It was a
disaster.
6. 24-7 Hot water is not a guarantee. Expect to learn to get used to taking
cold showers.
7. The $100 deposit is a scheme. When you move out, they do not send you an
accounted for list of repairs (this is illegal but when it is only $100 they
figure most people will not fight it). Instead, they just send you straight to
collections for the cost of repairs. These costs are vague and undocumented.
The good news is they will give you a credit for your $100 deposit. The bad
news is collections calls you a month later (and these are not nice people)
demanding another $300.
8. Make sure you get a pool key when you move in. I was not given one and
later told that I would be charged $25 if I wanted one. I had to use a long
stick to get in (admittedly it really is quite easy)
9. The ceilings are thin. I was in a bottom unit and it sounded like the
neighbors on the top were running a Jazzersize studio. My neighbors to both
sides were quiet people in general, so I can't tell you how thin the walls are.
10. I would finally like to emphasize how rude the management is. I seems like
there is a requirement for the lady's working there to pass a "bitch" test. And
they seem to have a new one every other month. Where do they find these girls?
Law Schools? My favorite was GOLLY. She wasn't just a complete bitch, she was
dumb as a block too! She was who I dealt with when I had that long power outage
that possibly left me with spoiled food. She said that the food was fine. I
asked her how she could tell and she replied, condescendingly, "my momma taught
me as a little girl to smell the food. If it smelled good, it's good." After
doing some research, I discovered that actually turns out not to be dangerously
false. It looks as if stupidity runs in that family!
All in all; stay away from this place! They will undoubtedly leave you with a
bad taste in your mouth. "(2009)

"I just move out after completing a yer lease and i have to say i wanted out of
there after the first week! the neihbors are SO loud! the manager does not
follow up with request and repairs, AND she lives on site and shows up at your
doorstep WHENEVER she feels like it! she showed up around 10:30pm a few
times.."office hours" are 9-6 and if you catch her on a bad day (which are most
days) she will not even talk to you during office hours because she's tied up
with something personal even though she's supposed to be on the clock! Also she
will dodge you when she knows you need something..its ridiculous... and i know
theres gotta be laws about how many people live in one apartment..there were 7
people in a two bdrm above us..and the walls, ceilings and floors are SOOOO thin
creaking EVERY step they took!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE its a NIGHTMARE "(2009)
NAPA, CALIFORNIA
Kentwood Apartments
"Would NOT refer anyone here. Although the grounds are kept fairly nice & the
floor plans seem to flow well the cons out-weigh the pluses immensly.
Laundry facilities are either broken or in use. At one point it was 9:45 pm
before we could get our laundry in. Security came by & locked it in which then
meant we couldn't get our laundry out til almost midnight. I would like to say
the staff all seem fairly pleasent, however they lack a bit of common sense. The
maintinence men like to band-aid problems. Our apartment actually leaked water
in thru the wall & window area. The carpet ended up soaked, as did some
paperwork and boxes of ours. They're solution: re-direct the sprinkler head
outside, cap it & place a dehumidifier in our apartment. They didn't fix the
fact that the wall leaked, they didn't fix the sprinkler lines that were
leaking, the carpet didn't dry & the dehumidifier reaked of smoke & spit out hot
air in the middle of August. Mold in the bathroom was inevitable due to poor
caulking. The electrical panal was painted over and very difficult to open when
it started buzzing after plugging in an appropiately sized heater fan.
To make matters worse, parking is scarce, about 5 ice cream sellers come thru
with their bells-a-ringing, the kids steal toys & decorative rocks off our front
porch. There was a dog (not allowed) living next door barking all the time, cats
(only indoor allowed) pooped & peed in my son's sand box even after we fenced
off our back patio area. We never could use our AC unit as it reaked of stale
smoke. The heater ran constantly, very inefficient. The abundance of loud
mariachi music and screaming unattended children as young as 2 was overwhelming.
REGRET everyday we've lived here and can't wait til our lease is up" (2009)

"What you're about to read is an incident that I experienced yesterday, June 28,
2009. You are only ALLOWED to have 2 guests per resident (household) in the
bbq/pool area. That means your bbq "party" will have a total of 3 people MAX, if
you live alone. The staff here is terrible AND very unprofessional. The
"professional" staff sent a maint guy to do their job; the maint guy they sent
to deliver their message told me I have too many guests! Staff at this complex
is racist. I am not racist, but if you're not white..then don't live here. Trust
me! The staff or leasing agents as they call themselves, with NO mngr on duty,
runs the complex as if they are mngrs. On top of being racist, they are very
unfair. Told me that my guests had to leave because I had too many people, while
other parties at the bbq/pool area had the same amount of guests as I do, and
they're not being told a thing. Unbelievable! A quick note I forgot to mention,
they do not allow open glass bottles. Please also take a moment to look at the
attached pictures. These pictures clearly show that ALL residents at the common
area have more than 2 guests. And also, there is a group that had open beer
bottles that was NOT told a thing and/or was not discipline; could it be that
they were white!' This is just the gist of what happened yesterday afternoon. As
my token of sincerity on this review, I am allowing you, the reader, to email me
at alooon2002@yahoo.com with your call back # and I will contact with further
details. I am confident with my personal review that this will make you
reconsider having this awful complex your new home. On the upside, I love my
apt!

Parc Claremont Apartments
"Parc Clarement Apts located in Upland California, and has a great view of the
mountains. They offer 1 and 2 bedrooms with patios. The rental prices are good
considering how prices are going up. I have a one bedroom and it is more than
enough room for me. I believe one of the best feature is my electric bill it is
affordable, not high and I run my air condition 24/7 in the summer. I have lived
here for 3 years and love it. The grounds are kept clean and are loaded with
trees. It is a gated community with security that rides through here, I feel
safe when I walk my dog in the evenings. There is a diversity of people in the
complex and I have not have any trouble. Come check it out it is a good and save
place to live. " (2009)
PACIFICA, CALIFORNIA
Lands End Apartments
"This is the most beautiful location in the Bay Area! A lot of the apartments
overlook the Pacific Ocean. The management has really made an effort to get rid
of the "not so honorable" tenants. It is starting to come together as a really
nice, caring community. They are always fast to respond to maintenance issues
and/or whatever you need to make it feel like "home". In addition, the
management is always on top of the exterior views and they stay on top of people
keeping their patios within the "rules" of what is appropriate to have there. It
makes for a happier environment for everybody. They also have tenant parties
which are always fun and a great way to meet your neighbors. I love it here!!

REDONDO
BEACH, CALIFORNIA
Seaview Apartment
" Overall, Seaview is not a horrible place to live. However, there are a few
things that you should take into account before making the decision to live
here. First, it is a VERY old building so expect to have problems with the
drains. I've had problems with all sinks, the toilet and the shower.
Maintenance was able to unclog the shower, but I was told to hold the handle
down on the toilet longer to fix the toilet and was told that the sinks are
fine. Secondly, if silverfish(nasty bugs) scare you I would look elsewhere.
I've probably killed a hundred in the last year. They are plentiful in that
building.
Another major factor to consider is where the apartment is located. If it is on
the Southwest side, take a look at the nice tall palm trees next door. In those
palm trees live birds that will make so much noise, you won't be able to sleep
with the windows open. They will be touted as exotic birds, but all they will
do for you is annoy you. It is really disappointing that you can hear the ocean
with your windows open, but can't because the birds make too much noise.
The other thing worth mentioning is that management seems content with hiring
non-professionals to do work. A good example is the 1st floor garage painting
project. A qualified painter could have completed the project in a few days.
The current project has been going on for months. Also, be careful of the
laundry room. It is rare that one of the 3 washers or 3 dryers is not broken.
Management will then explain that they are working properly, the tenants just
don't understand how to use them.
I know it seems as though I'm completely bashing this place. The building does
have a great location, is fairly quiet and I've never had a problem with my
neighbors. I tried to highlight my biggest annoyances and if you feel that you
can live with them, you'll probably be happy living here.

NUYS, CALIFORNIA
Fulton Villas Apartment
" Get ready to be robbed. This building is just about falling over and the water
is shut off every 10 just about. The previous owner Robert Tamkin was a crook
and no one knows what the new owner will do. The city need to fine the owners
for shutting off the water and the manager Gilbert Viola spent time in the slam
but now is "saved" all the while hiding the pipe dilemma. Do everything you can
to avoid this particular building. It's a disaster already happening." (2009)
San Regis Apartment
" This place used to be clean with nice people. No drama a year ago. We've been
here for years and this past year has been HELL! Management doesn't care.
BEWARE! Do NOT move here! You will regret it!
There are roaches everywhere, prostitutes in and outside the building (just drive
around a few times a nights and you will be sure to see them on the ho stroll on
Sepulveda Blvd and behind the building.
Gangs, crime, drugs, people's cars and apartments broken into, laptops stolen,
valuables gone! We have been lucky so far and thus we are moving. This place
claims to be a LUXURY building.
Don't let the pool, tiny gym, tennis and basketball courts fool you. Gym is
usually hot. Most of the management staff is racist against ------. Air
conditioning in the entire building is such old technology (swamp coolers) that
it NEVER works.
Overpriced rent for the type of filthy place this is. Totally not worth it. They
will beg you to stay if you decide to go. Water, trash, sewer bill is HIGH!
Doubled in just a year. Elevators don't work more than half the time.
Not a security building. Almost all the gates (besides for parking lot) are
broken. Front gate to building is chained open. Anyone who wants to can come and
go. Night security guard only (not day). Management won't hire enough security
(4 huge buildings in complex). Impossible for 1 guys to guard and watch over
such a massive property.
They will lie about pool being heated. It is NOT heated. Super cold even on hot
summer days. Hot tub broken several times a year. Many a night that the lights
in the pool are not on. Very dangerous if you have kids. Speaking of kids, there
are A LOT of them. Ages range from little ones to teenagers.
Kids (especially teens) run around causing havoc throughout building. Yelling
and screaming. Management does nothing. DO NOT leave doors unlocked. People
walking around hallways day and night testing door knobs to try and get into
apartments. Empty apartments are left unlocked for homeless people to come enjoy
a free roof over their heads.
Jess Treat is the property manager. Extremely unprofessional. She thinks that
talking to residents as if they are below her is part of her job. Name-calling
is extremely immature and unnecessary. Nothing was said to bring this out. She
doesn't like black people. Corporate headquarters don't seem to be doing
anything about it either.
Not only does management in building give you the runaround and blow you off
when you need anything, so does corporate. I am still waiting for their
response, months later.
Section 8 and assisted living accepted. People coming here from shelters and
prison. No background checks. Very unhappy here. Very stressed out.
Counting the days. Displeased, disrespected, discouraged. What a shame for such
a pretty place. It HAD potential. I don't see it getting any better like it used
to be. It's simply DISGUSTING. If you still decide to move here, prepare
yourself for a miserable stay. It's awful.
Also, washer/dryer rooms never have ALL machines working. Something always
broken.
Many lights in building broken or out. Lighting used to be better. Seems like
every other light is out.
ALL Parking gets flooded during rain. Even if parking is outside rather than
underground. Beware of this too." (2009)

Shadow Ridge Apartment
"
First thing is that when you come to view they rental agent will tell you how
wonderful the area is. This is a down right lie. To the left of Pine Brooke
Village is a rehab, and behind that is a homeless shelter, both of which bring a
great mix into the area. My personal experiences have included the theft of 3 of
my bikes which were locked up. My care was broken into (2 windows blown out) in
my carport under where I sleep. Maintenance is as bad as it gets. We have had to
have them repaint our rooms and bathrooms 5 times due to the previous tenants
and still it is horrible. If you like peace and quiet then this is not the place
for you. We hear the neighbors pounding so hard that paintings will fall off the
walls. Then like us once you are fed up with it all and management does nothing
you want to exit your lease. Well that is going to cost you a nice $2,000.00.
Finally if your neighbor does something wrong then you will get blamed for it
even if it was not you. In closing I have lived all over the world and in much
worse locations and still all of them were better then PINE BROOKE VILLAGE.

Misson Peaks Apartment
"(Formerly known as red hawk ranch).
This apartment complex is totally not worth the money as many of other reviewers
have said.
Reasons:
1. Unfriendly, Arrogant , rude office and maintenance staff. - They don't care..
don't know how to talk politely. When you are talking with them, they have this
expression on their face as if they are doing you a favor talking with you. And
that to when you are paying top of the line rent for this so called
"remodeled" community.
2. Faulty appliances, poor drainage system, incompetent maintenance staff. - This
is a remodeled community. But I guess they have cut a lot of corners and used
cheap material/ labor. Almost all the buildings have had water problem at some
point or other. Few of the building have had hot water problems. My building had
a problem in November... for almost 2 days we went without hot water and I have
a 2 year old child. When complained about this to the staff, they didn't
actually say we don't care.. but their actions (or lack of it) actually did
convey the message. In October, I had to call their emergency number 3-4 times
before I could get the plumber at my place. My kitchen sink was overflowing with
our neighbor's drainage water.. it was so disgusting. Lights in the building
(common area) work Monday to Friday.. but Saturday / Sunday they take off... the
entire building is in dark on weekends.. have told this many times to the
staff.. no actions yet.. This is a gated community.. great for the security
right ' No wrong.. because gates don't work.. they are wide open most of the
times because of some problem or other..I can go on and on.. but what I am
trying to say is, don't even keep this community as your last option. Look
somewhere else.. if you find these same problems somewhere else too, at least you
will pay less.

"My family moved into a 3 bedroom / 2 bath apartment at the end of Campus
Dr. We loved the amount of room you got for the affordable price. We got
quickly approved by the friendly office managers and moved in as quickly as
possible, excited about finally finding an apartment we thought we were
going to like after many draining days of apartment hunting. We moved in all
our stuff on Saturday and went to bed exhausted from a VERY LONG day. In the
middle of the night I woke up and made my way to the kitchen to get a drink
of water, when I flipped on the lights there were cockroaches scattering
everywhere; this place was infested. The office manager was quick to return
my deposit and promised to have them fumigated and swore this wasn't a norm,
but I note that they do pay to have fumigators come out for residents on a
monthly basis.... Moral of the story...don't
waste your money on this dump. I have no problems with the management here
and only have good things to say about them."(2008)

Riverview ranch apartments
"The outside
maintenance on these buildings is extremely poor. There are cobwebs and
spider webs all over the outside walls. I believe the upkeep on the outside
is what makes all the spiders and spider webs on the inside. When we first
moved in we had a spider infestation, they were coming from everywhere! look
next to you on the couch there's a spider, on your pillow in bed, SPIDER!!
most of the people who work here also live here. The maintenance crew is
always riding their golf carts around or sitting at my neighbors (head of
maintenance) cleaning his boat. I never see maintenance doing any
maintenance. They hire a crew to come in and do yard work. The ladies in the
office are extremely rude!... There is always a lot of commotion going on by
the pool. Its not cleaned daily and is gross. You have to fight for 5 min

"It is very inconvenient place to live. There were no closets, no storage

showing their swimming pool and workout area. There is only one person who
claims manager available only through 10am - 2pm. They never answer
emergency maintenance calls. Their rents are so high for what they offering
to people who rent. I recently heard from my friend that they try to steal

"This place is
terrible. It's hard to find parking. The place is run-down and hasn't been
taken care of in years. My carpets were probably 10 years old and had more
stains than a frat party. My roommates door handle just fell off his door
when he tried to open it, and they charged HIM to fix it. The door to the
closet fell apart and they sent in a maintenance man to put it back
together. It fell apart again 2 days later and they ignored our request to
fix it again. Only one of our 4 burners on our stove worked, and they sent
maintenance men in, and they never fixed it. Our oven cooked at about 75
degrees less than the temperature it said that it did, which isn't
surprising because Thomas Jefferson installed it. The air conditioning at my

it took them 15 days to repair it. The staff sucks, too. They are extremely

odd occasion that I do they have resolved it within the day if not immediately.
The location is always great and safe and very close to everything. I have no
hesitance in recommending Casa Granada in Brentwood to anyone"(2009_

"I have stayed there
from Jul'07 to Jul 08. I was on a vacation for 1 & 1/2 month during which my
apt complex told a towing company to tow my car parked in a valid parking
lot of my apt complex (for expired registration though my car WAS REGISTERED
till Feb'09. I had not just pasted the new registration sticker I got from
DMV). The rent of the apt complex is comparatively less but the apt complex
is not at all safe. Plz dont consider this apt complex even if you are
tempted by the low cost for all the amenities. The apt complex management
changed in Jan'08 and since then this towing has taken bad shape."(2008)

SUNNYVALE, CALIFORNIA
Bernardo apartments
"I
lived here for a year between 2007 and 2008 and it was
definitely a good time. The price was below what others in the area were,
and it was located right off of 85 and 237, very convenient for commuting.
The apartments were definitely showing their age and make sure to have 3
strong adapters for all the outlets and run everything through a surge
protector as I'm not to confident in that old buildings wiring setup. Every
unit comes with 1 spot, with decent street parking and the pool is
fantastic. Chris, the apartment manager is definitely something else. What
other manager can u text at 1am cuz your neighbors wont shut up
despite threats to their life from a grouchy wife? He handles it. He
was a pleasure to deal with and on the ball with everything, and is more
than willing to help u out if you need anything. Over the holidays my
refrigerator door broke off its hinges and he was there less than 10 minutes
later with the proper fix. And the man can BBQ chicken! Perhaps what I miss
the most is the environment, the tenants were super cool and if one was
being loud or having a rare party, they are the types you could knock on the
door yourself and drink with or tell them to quiet down. Definitely a good
spot to check out for its mere convenient access to downtown sunnyvale and
the major highways. (2009)
The
Meadows Apartments
"I am nicely warning everybody never stay with the apartment "The Meadows"
in bay area. The quality of the room is awful, and the rent is much higher
than other apartment nearby, even more, the Office numbers are horrible
to deal with.
Three horrible things happened in my short stay since last Mid June.
1. They promised that the construction of pool ended in Sep08, we felt it
was not too long after we moved in so we signed the lease and moved in in
Mid June. However, the constriction was not finished until early Dec08.
Our apartment is close to the pool, and the drilling noise got me a bad
bad headache.
I complained with office manager, she didn't apologize at all, and also
said they didn't have control on the length of the construction and they
would have more constructions, which they didn't mentioned before we signed
the lease. She also didn't allow us to move out early without penalty.
2. In Sep08, I found a huge nail embed in the bottom of the concrete door
frame, tip up. I was very scared, because I have a 13-month old baby, who
was just learning walking. What if she stepped on the nail?! What if she
fell onto the nail?! Even us could step on it sometimes.
However, when I talked to the office manager, she looked so calm, and again
without any apology, she said it was our responsibility to watch the baby
to make sure she wouldn't step onto the nail and it's our responsibility
to make sure her safety before the problem has been fixed.
3. Early this morning (2/5/2009) at 1:42am, I specially checked time because
I was extremely angry when this accident happened! My husband went to
restroom around that time, and right after he entered the restroom and turned
on the light, I heard a "bong" sound, and ran out to check, I found thousands
of pieces of broken glass on the floor in front of the bedroom door. The
glass was the cover of the light on the ceiling of the hall way (my husband
didn't turn this light on). If my husband was 2 sounds later, this would
break his head. It's very hard to clean the floor completely since the tiny
pieces are everywhere!
Again, I went to office this morning even though it's useless, I have to
let them know we didn't break their property, we are victims, and my husband
was almost hurt. But Yes, it was useless!!! The manager was still very cold
with such horrible thing happened in the Mid-Night in my home! She even
suspected us, she said, "This never happened before". Of course, no apology
at all!!!
We have been living in many other apartments in other states, but this is
the first time I met so many troubles in an apartment in such a short time,
and this is the worst lease office I've ever seen that is so cold blooded
to its renters.

TRACY, CALIFORNIA
Waterstone Apartments
"Waterstone apartments in Tracy are a
disappointment. They have lowered the
rents so much that undesirables are moving in and many of us are moving. Just a
note ...keep driving you can do better.
I am moving in April, neighbors have moved in Jan another couple are leaving in
March.
Loud new tenants who leave their dog out all night barking, and the garbage is
always overflowing at the dumpsters. Cleaning up after your dog is not
something that is enforced. Nor is the loud partying. We are tired of talking
to management with NO results.

Waterstone Apartments
"Waterstone Apartments in Tracy, Ca are going down hill fast. What once was a
pretty high end complex is now white trash and low income tenants who do not
know how to live with real people.
New Years Eve was a nightmare. Bottle rockets, teenagers making out on the
patios. I am ashamed to have friends and family over.
Those of us with like minds are moving in a few months.
Oh! did I mention the police are at the place at least 3 times a week? No more
outgoing mail due to vandals stealing it. Fitness center down again,
kids hanging out ruined it.
Keep driving...don't get sucked in with the free offers. You will regret it as
we have.

The Charter apartments
"**WATCH OUT FOR THE RODENT INVASION. I CURRENTLY LIVE AT THIS COMPLEX AND WILL BE MOVING OUT THIS WEEKEND (3/14/04) DUE TO THE RODENTS THAT HAVE BEEN SWEET ENOUGH TO COME INTO MY APARTMENT OVER THE LAST 2 WEEKS. THE TENTH IN A 9 DAY PERIOD WAS CAUGHT THIS EVENING IN ONE OF THE MANY DECORATIVE TRAPS CONVENIENTLY PLACED ALL OVER MY KITCHEN BY MAINTENANCE STAFF. I ADVISED THE COMPLEX OF THE PROBLEM AND ADVISED THE STAFF OF THE MANY MICE THAT CAN BE HEARD IN THE WALLS AS WELL AS IN BETWEEN THE CEILING AND FLOOR OF DIFFERENT LEVELS. THE ENTIRE COMPLEX (3 BUILDINGS TOTAL) NEEDS TO BE EXTENSIVELY TREATED TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM. TENTING THE BUILDING AND KILLING THEM WOULD NOT BE ENOUGH! AT LEAST NOT FOR ME. I COULDN'T STAND THE THOUGHT OF LIVING IN A PLACE WHERE THE WALLS WERE FILLED WITH DEAD MICE. WELL THE LEASING OFFICE HAS OFFERED NO OTHER OPTION BUT TO PLACE MORE TRAPS. THE MICE SURE DO VISIT CONSISTENTLY. THEY COME IN FROM DIFFERENT HOLES THAT THE APARTMENT COMPLEX HASN'T EVEN ATTEMPTED TO LOCATE OR FIX. ALSO, CONSIDER THE FACT THAT THEY CHARGE RENTS THAT ARE ABOVE MARKET. I PAY $1,320 EACH AND EVERY MONTH FOR A SMALL ONE BEDROOM. THE COMPLEX I'LL BE MOVING TO IS A MUCH BETTER VALUE CHARGING ONLY $100 MORE FOR A TWO BEDROOM IN A AREA EQUAL IN QUALITY, CLASS, AND AMENITIES."
